Dog Care General Information and Policies

The purpose of Aardvarks Dog Training Center Dog Care (Socialization Sessions) is to provide a safe, fun and stimulating social environment for dogs during the weekday business hours. To ensure the safety and health of your pet and our other guests, we require all guests and their dogs to comply with the following rules and regulations:

AGE: All dogs must be at least 16 weeks of age or older.

SEX: All dogs 7 months or older must be spayed or neutered.

SHOTS: All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations. Owners must submit written proof of DHLLP and Bordetella vaccinations. Rabies is required for puppies over 4 months of age.

HEALTH: All dogs must be in good health. Owners will certify their dogs are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days. Upon admission, all dogs must be free from any condition which could potentially jeopardize other guests. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require veterinarian certification of health to be admitted or readmitted.

BEHAVIOR: All dogs must be non-aggressive and not food or toy protective. Owners will certify their dogs have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dog(s). Please remember, your pet will be spending time with other pets and the safety and health of all animals is our main concern.

BREED RESTRICTIONS: Unfortunately, some dog breeds do not do well in the daycare setting due to their play style. Therefore American Staffordshire Terriers, American Pitbull Terriers and mixes will not be admitted to daily socialization sessions.

APPLICATION: All dogs must have a complete, up-to-date and approved application on file. There is a one-time $15.00 non-refundable application screening fee for each pet.Please contact us for an application.

BENICIA ROAD DAY CARE Full Days: 1-day pass: $27.00 5-day pass: $125.00 10-day pass: $240.00 20-day pass: $460.00 Half Days (Mornings 7-11:30 AM): 1 day pass $15.00 5 day pass $75.00 10 day pass $150.00 20 day pass $300.00 DOG CARE HOURS: Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM. The center is not an overnight facility. Staff goes off duty at 6:00 PM and there is a $1.00 per minute charge for any pet left after 6:00 PM.

ISLAND AARDVARK's DOG CARE Day care charge plus the $20.00 overnight fee. Additional dogs from the same family are $15.00 each. *You must bring your dog’s food and any medications. Please include WRITTEN feeding instructions for your dog, as well as instructions for any medications or supplements. DOG CARE HOURS: 7 days a week, 6 AM to 7 PM. There is a $3.00 per hour charge for dog care between 7 PM and 11 PM. The doors are locked at 11 PM and there is not pick up or drop off between 11 PM and 6 AM.

RESERVATIONS: Required. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged full fees.
